The University was established in June 1985 around the nucleus of
Centre for Post Graduate Instruction and Research of the University
of Bombay in Goa. The University Campus is located on the outskirts
of Panaji, the capital city and spread over nearly 173 hectares on
the Taleigao plateau overlooking the scenic Zuari River joining the
Arabian Sea.
At Goa University,we have one of the best teacher-students ratio
and the different skills and backgrounds of our staff and students
which encourage you to broaden your horizons. Almost all the Academic
staff are engaged in their own research and are experts and enthusiasts
in their own fields. This will add an exciting new dimension to
the way you learn here.
