This course covers the fundamentals of philosophy, ethics, research integrity, and publication ethics. It aims to help participants identify research misconduct, such as plagiarism and falsification, and understand the importance of ethical practices in scientific publishing. The course also introduces tools for detecting plagiarism, identifies predatory journals, and explores open access publishing. Additionally, it covers research metrics and citation databases, such as Web of Science and Scopus, to help assess the impact of research. Through discussions and practical sessions, the course provides key insights into maintaining ethical standards in scientific research and publication.
