The Department's programmes are professionally-oriented and open up opportunities for research teaching, translation and careers in the corporate sector.
The Department of French and Francophone studies offers Masters and Bachelors programmes along with Certificate courses in Language. The Department also has a vibrant PHD programme. The thrust areas of the department include French and Francophone Literature, Translation Studies, Literary Theories, Feminist Literature, Media/Film Studies, French for Specific purposes, Linguistics, Teaching Methodology, Functional French and Cultural Studies.
