Solid State Chemistry M.Sc. Laboratory

History:

The Solid State Chemistry M.Sc. lab have DC Resistivity Set-up, AC susceptibility unit, Dielectric measurement setup, Four probe electrical conductivity set-up, and Gouy’s Balance. All these instruments were procured from DST FIST, UGC SAP and departmental equipment budget.

Research areas:

These instrumental facilities are for M.Sc. Chemistry students for regular practical’s in Solid State Chemistry and dissertation work.

Resources and facilities:

DC Resistivity Set-up upto 500 °C (Pushpa Scientific), AC susceptibility unit upto 500 °C (ADEC), Dielectric measurement setup upto 400 °C, Four probe electrical conductivity set-up upto 200 °C (SES Instruments), and Gouy’s Balance (GMX-02).

Achievements:

These instrumental facilities at Solid State M.Sc. lab has benefited several M.Sc. students from Chemistry, they get opportunity to learn and to operate these instruments.
