LC-MS Laboratory

History:

The Laboratory consists of a SHIMADZU LCMS-2020 installed in 2012. The provision was made under the UGC-XI^th Plan program. The equipment fulfils the need of Organic, Inorganic chemists for routine mass analysis which is key for structure elucidation of compounds.

Research areas:

The equipment is useful for chemists working in the area of organic, inorganic and interdisciplinary fields of Chemistry.

Resources and facilities:

Shimadzu LCMS-2020, Computer monitor, UPS power back-up system, vacuum pump and nitrogen generator.

Achievements:

This is one of the facilities in SCS which has benefited several M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in their research output and resulting in high-quality research publications.
