AFM Laboratory

History:

The Laboratory consists of a NTMDT NTEGRA atomic force microscope installed in 2012. The provision was made under the DST-Nano Mission project. The equipment serves to the need of Physical, Inorganic, Analytical chemists for the characterization of surfaces and Nanostructures.

Research areas:

The equipment is useful for chemists working in the area of Physical, Inorganic and interdisciplinary fields of chemistry.

Resources and facilities:

NTMDT-NTEGRA atomic force microscope, Computer monitor, UPS power back-up system.

Achievements:

This is one of the prime facility in SCS which has benefited several M.Sc and Ph.D students in their research output and resulting in high-quality research publications.
