Department of Computer Science and Technology

The department's success in providing the best computer education has been proved by the 100% placement record it has achieved since the inception of the department.
One of the key aspects of the department is that it has signed a MOU with NCST, the country's premier institute in software technology for supplementing the quality education the department imparts in Computer Science.
Facilities

The classrooms are well equipped with modern training facilities like a P-IV m with high-resolution LCD projector. Other facilities like OHP and whiteboard are also available for better illustration. All the machines in the classrooms, faculty rooms & laboratory are interconnected via 10 Mbps switches.
The Laboratory facilities in the Departments are constantly upgraded to cater - growing needs of students. Currently 40 PCs spread over the Department in the laboratory well as faculty offices and are served by Linux and Windows NT servers. About 30 st_ can simultaneously work on Windows 2000/Linux/X-windows environments. Present laboratory supports languages like Pascal, Cobol, Basic, Assembly, Fortran, C, Visual C++, Perl, Tcl/Tk and Python. In addition to the usual office suites, such as Microsoft Office the laboratory also provides students and faculty with the latest versions of development tools and application platforms such as Oracle, Visual Studio. Net, CASE Tools, In--Information Server (IIS) and Frontpage. The Department also subscribes to the MSDN archives.
Currently a new building is being constructed to accommodate a new Computer laboratory. This laboratory will include 25 nos. of Pentium IV with 24 hours access to Internet
The Department rides on a Campus-wide 100 MBPS fibre-optic backbone and has full 512 KBPS IP connectivity to the Internet. The students of the department have 24 access to all Internet Services
