Goa University has a Sports Section, which looks after Sports activities of the post-graduate students as well as of the affiliated colleges.

The Sports Section conducts nineteen various events as Inter-collegiate tournaments which are divided into two phases.

1. The first phase starts from the last week of July and ends in the first week of October.
2. The second phase starts from the last week of November and ends in the first week of February.

Sports Section also deputes various Goa University teams to participate at the Inter-University tournaments. The University has a multipurpose ground at the Campus.
